コス欧州委員は、「キーウのＥＵ代表部が今日のロシアの民間地区に対する攻撃により損傷した。私は、この残虐な攻撃と、ロシアが平和を拒絶し、テロを選んでいるという明確な兆候を強く非難する」と書き込んだ。

そして同氏は、「この侵略を受けているＥＵ職員、彼らの家族、全てのウクライナ人に完全な連帯を表明する」と伝えた。
その後、コスタ欧州理事会議長もＸアカウントでこの攻撃につきコメントした。
コスタ議長は、「ロシアの侵略は、ウクライナと同国の人々と一緒に立つという私たちの覚悟を強めるだけだ」とし、ウクライナの犠牲者と駐ウクライナＥＵ代表部の職員へ思いを寄せていると伝えた。

同代表部のマテルノヴァＥＵ大使は、Ｘアカウントにて、今回の攻撃は「和平努力へのモスクワの真の回答だ」と強調した。
マテルノヴァ氏は、「昨夜のロシアの『平和』だ。無人機と弾道ミサイルによるキーウへの大規模攻撃だ。少なくとも１０名が死亡、３０名が負傷、多くの建物が破壊された。ＥＵ代表部は衝撃波で激しく損傷した」と報告した。

これに先立ち、ウクライナへの全面侵略を続けるロシア軍は、２７日夜から２８日朝にかけて同国首都キーウを自爆型無人機とミサイルで大規模攻撃を行っていた。現時点までに、死者が１０名出ていることがわかっている。
